What is the best future accounting field to work in?

I am already having a BS in business administration- genaral concentration. This fall, I am starting my accounting certificate program and I would like to ask which classes are best to take? I would prefer to work for non-profit and private organizations in the accounting field. I do not plan to take a CPA exam in the future. Thank you for your advices!

   I don’t see a point of taking accounting classes, but not taking the CPA exam. In most companies, you need to have a CPA before you can progress in the accounting field beyond a certain level (i.e. controller, CFO, etc.).

   Financial accounting, fund accounting, financial analysis, managerial accounting are all beneficial in this field / career.
