I have worked for a Fortune 500 company for the past 2.5 years, but not in the accounting department. I am ready for a change and want to move to public accounting. Any suggestions on where or how to find an open accounting job?
I have a 4 year degree in accounting. Just to clarify.

Without a 4 year degree, you cannot get a job in public accounting. There is too much of a liability issue to hiring only a 2 year degree employee. Basically, if you do not have enough classes to sit for the CPA exam, you will not be considered at 99.9% of public accounting firms. I would advise that you go back to school and get your Bachelors if you are even remotely serious about working in public. There is a reason why Big 4 firms don’t recruit out of community college.

Indicate in cover letter what skills relevant to accounting you gained during your business years imho…
